Ahhh, the infamous banana bread. A recipe I believe nearly every household has in their pocket. I ate this a lot as a child. However, this recipe is banana bread with a twist! My husband wanted pecans and my son wanted chocolate chips. They couldn’t decide which one to pick, so what did I do? I baked both of them in the bread of course!
If you have ever wondered what to do when your bananas begin to brown and become too ripe on their own, peel them and pop them in a bag in your freezer. Then when you are ready to make them, set the bag out to thaw. Once thawed, measure out the bananas and use them to make this sweet and moist banana bread.
You can also use ripe bananas that haven’t been frozen yet. Just place them in a bowl and mash them with a fork or other kitchen tool.
